My fat loss program for men in their 40s is launching! We begin on Monday, November 25, and until then, we have an orienting period. I’m inviting up to 10 dedicated individuals ready to transform their lives and physiques by shedding fat and building muscle.
Why is gaining muscle more crucial than merely losing fat? The answer is straightforward. Muscles act as your metabolic engine, consuming fuel efficiently. A bigger engine burns more fuel. In the long run, increasing muscle mass means that even if you gain some fat back, those muscles will continue to burn it, making it easier to regain your ideal shape.
Why is it more challenging to lose fat as we age? Again, it’s simple. In our 30s, a process called sarcopenia begins, accelerating as we grow older. Sarcopenia is the natural loss of muscle mass over time. Connecting these dots reveals that losing muscle slows your metabolism, making it harder to burn fat.
In my program, we view fat loss as a side effect of transforming your body composition with a muscle-centric approach, which I like to call re-comping. But there’s more—greater muscle mass means greater strength. The myth that you can train for strength without gaining size is just that—a myth. If you train for hypertrophy (building size of muscle), strength will follow. Likewise, your muscles will grow regardless of your focus on building strength. Ultimately, these muscles will become hungry and start burning fat.
In 12 weeks, I want you to lose between 6 and 12 kg, gain strength and muscle size (it takes time, so be patient), and feel confident in the resistance area of your gym.
Do it for yourself!
